We all remember the story about the man of God that approached the widow and her son, and asked them for something to eat? We all know how the story ended; she gave her last, and was blessed.
How many times have you been praying for a breakthrough, and someone comes to you in need? Keep in mind you may have only had $10.00, and they needed $5.00, but you gave it to them anyway. Then all of a sudden what you have been praying for happens.
Now let’s think about the times you were in the same situations as above, but you were so consumed in your own needs you didn’t help.
I remember a story a Pastor told about a woman that got a letter from Jesus, telling her He was planning on visiting her. She left the house to prepare for His arrival. On the way to the store, a little boy that was looking for food, a homeless man needing a coat for his pregnant wife, and an old women asking for changes, all asked her for help.
She told them all, I don’t have time for you, and I got to get ready for Jesus who is paying me a visit today! After she reached home she prayed, “Jesus where are you, I thought you were going to visit me today?” Hours passed then the door bell ringed, and there was a note from Jesus. He said, “ I visited you today 3 times, as a little boy, a man, and an older woman looking for help, but you rejected me each time.
Hebrews 13:12 says, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
