In Remembrance of Me

by Belinda Kendall

Luke 12:7 says, “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” He knows every hair on your head.

Psalms 56:8 says, “Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll — are they not in your record?” He has every tear you ever cried.

Psalms 139:2 says, “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.” He knows your thoughts before you think them.

Isaiah 49:16 says, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. He has your name written in the palm of his hand.

Psalm 139:16 says, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” He knows the day you be born, and the day you will die.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” He already knows the plan in your life, and knows it want be easy.

I can go on and on with the things God knows and remembers about us. But have you ever noticed that in most Churches you will find the words, “IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.”

How can we forget about a God like this? I mean we remember what our children like and what they don’t like. We know our mate’s favorite colors, and what they will eat and not eat. We even remember the birthdays and telephone numbers of people we longer speak to.

Out of sight, out of mind, because we can’t see, touch, or feel God, and life can throw some things at you that will make you forget.

Maybe that’s why those words are always written somewhere in a Church, because we need to be reminded just how GREAT Our God is and how much He loves and care about every area of our life!

The Tower of Babel

by Belinda Kendall

Genesis 11:4 says, “4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

“So we can make a name for ourselves.” Some of the Churches today remind me of the Tower of Babel, but instead of God confusing the language, the devil has confused their language. Some where along the way, leaders, teachers, and Pastors wanted to make a name for themselves with their tradition, and religious practices, and forgetting all about God.

If a sinner visited 3 different Churches, I can promise you if he goes and asks, “What must I do to be saved?,” the messages for Salvation will all be different, and include different traditions to be saved. In many ways some Churches have people believing that God is the Police, and if you don’t follow every word in the Bible you will surely die, and you are not saved.

The World was built on the foundation of God’s Word but now there are cracks in the foundation, so the building is falling and being scattered across the entire world in all kinds of shapes and forms.

How did we get so far from, Romans 10:10 says, “ For with the heart a person believes, [f]resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, [resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture say, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”

Nowhere in the above scripture do I see anything about the traditions, or religious practices you see today in some Churches. Now do you see why SOME Churches look like the Tower of Babel?

Saying it out loud

by Belinda Kendall

Just because gay people are being more open about their life style, shouldn’t be a sign that the world is ending. Some of the greatest Philosophers in the world were gay – to name a few Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates. Back then almost everybody was bi-sexual, and it was weird not to be. When we were children we all had that family member that we thought acted differently from the other men, and women in our family.

People coming into the USA illegally, is not a sign that the world is coming to an end. For Heaven Sakes none of our forefathers were born here, unless they were Native Americas.

When hearing of so many children being molested, women raped, and people being murdered is not a sign that the world is coming to an end. Incest has been in some families for years, they just were not allowed to say it out loud. Do you know that there is a prison in the middle if the desert which holds some of the most dangerous serial killers, rapist, and child molesters, and most of them has been there for more than 40 years? This prison can’t even be found on a map.

You have to understand that some of the above things have always been around; people are just saying it out loud.

Go Deeper, and really study the Word of God. Remember -Matthews 24:42-44 says, “42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”

If the devil only knew!

by Belinda Kendall

If the devil only knew, that by introducing you to drugs, and alcoholic at an early age that you would have grow up and counseled other young people on the dangerous of using drugs, he would have left you alone.

If the devil only knew that by causing your parents to reject you, that you would grow up and be the parent that most children could only dream about, he would have done everything in his power to keep your parents in your life.

If the devil only knew that getting divorce would cause you to be a woman that other women that are in unhealthy relationship would look up to you, and be an example for them that God will still provide, he would have never got in your husband and cause him to leave.

If he knew that causing Job to lose his wealth, and children would have given us proof that God would restore thousands of years later, he would have never went to God and got permission to touch him.

Psalm 119:87 says, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.”

You will be surprise what God will allow to cause you to draw closer to Him.

Where God Has Brought Me From

by Belinda Kendall

It was always the same Sun!

Today when riding back to North Carolina, I started looking in the sky to see if God had been by. Nahum 1:3, “the clouds are the dust from his feet.” But I noticed something different.

While riding back I starting thinking about where God has brought me from, and how it was always the same Sun shining on me.

It was the same Sun that shined on me when my car broke down, and me, and my children had to take the city bus. But it was the same Sun that shined down on me when I was blessed to pay off my car, and my company gave me a new car. Now I have 2 cars in my drive way, when at one time I didn’t have one.

It was the same Sun that shined down on me when I stayed on the phone with people trying to be accepted by people that God never created me to be accepted by. But it’s the same Sun that shines down on me as I leave my phone in the car, because I really don’t want to be bothered.

It was the same Sun that shined down on me when I wanted a better job, when I had to work 3 jobs to provide for my family. But it was the same Sun that shined on me when I had a job that kept me flying from one state to another.

It was the same Sun that shined down on me and my children when we had to move into a hotel, because I lost our place, and this was the only opinions I had. But it’s the same Sun that shines on me now while I water my flowers on my porch, pick out lawn furniture, and bedding for all the bedrooms for this summer, and now I have rooms in my house I don’t even go in.

Although, there are cloudy days, rainy days and dark overcast, but the Sun is still there. In this case struggles, sadness, rejections, and other things life can throw at you can cause you from seeing just how bright the Sun is, but it’s still there.

Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

I believe the Sun is the best example of this scripture, because the Sun never changed just like God’s Word doesn’t change. But Thank God I did change, and just like the Word of God it never left me. Go outside and look up at the Sun; it’s like looking in the face of God. And, then think about all the things that same Sun has seen in your life. Think about the death of love ones, disappointments, finding love, losing love, new jobs, cars, homes, and so on. Just like the Word of God, it was there everyday, no matter what happen, or didn’t happen.

Happy Mother’s Day – For All You Do!

by Jewel Tyler

A MOTHER is a person that loves unconditionally, sacrifices without complaints for her children. She will go to work come home, then work with her children on their homework; clean the house and cook dinner. Get the children bathed and ready for bed and even though she is tired, read them a book and say prayers with the kids and tuck them safely in the bed.

If she is a wife, now it is time to devote time to her husband even though she is exhausted. Rise very early in the morning before everyone wakes up and start her day all over again. When the weekend arrives, there is no time for rest, NO WAY! Time to do laundry, thoroughly clean the house attend to the kids; go shopping, and maybe even squeeze in attending her children’s sport events or girl or boy scout meets.

A mother is a phenomenal woman through and through, generally she doesn’t complain even though her back and feet hurts. She has to continue with her routine even if she is experiencing monthly cramps; she has to keep her spirits high and continue to be the loving nurturing woman God created her to be.

To all the wonderful Mother’s I wish you a blessed day, and hopefully your family will allow you to take a break for one day and return all that you do to you!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY from the bottom of my heart!

275704_100002998686606_1039885742_nTo my wonderful Mother Betty I love you with all my heart and appreciate all of the wisdom and knowledge you have shared with me over the years. Thanks for loving me and supporting me my entire life. God bless you Mom!

Love Your Fellow Man

by Belinda Kendall

We preach to our children that they are to love their fellow man. Always be mindful of people in need, and never look down on others. We are to never look down on anybody, unless you are picking him up.

I found it so interesting that the above comment is made by Christians and non Christians. But isn’t interesting how something like the Healthcare Bill, will bring out the worst in people that preach this to their children?

The very thought that you would have to make adjustments in your budget to help people that can’t get Heath Insurance makes you forget what you preach to your children.

Here in North Carolina we have teachers that are on food stamps, and can’t even afford to buy milk for their children. They are not lazy, and we trust them to teach our children. Now think about the conversations you have had with people about the lazy people that were on food stamps. Its funny how once you put a face to people on food stamps, or should I say the faces TV doesn’t show you, your conversation changes.

I wish you could see the people that have insurance now because of the Heath Care bill, maybe your conversation will change too. Think about the family members you loved as a child, that died because they didn’t have health insurance?

Luke 12:48 says, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

Now you may say, “MUCH!?!?, I don’t have much, really don’t anything, all I have is this small apartment, and can barely make ends meet. Because once I pay my bills, buy food, and gas, I barely have enough to make it to the next pay day.”

Well…I can take you to the shelter where a mother sits on the floor helping her children with their homework, while her suit hangs on the edge of the bed waiting for the next job interview. I can take you to a place near downtown called, “Tent City,” where people live outside, and wash, and drink from a dirty creek.

Now tell me now what’s you definition of the word, Much?
