It was always the same Sun!
Today when riding back to North Carolina, I started looking in the sky to see if God had been by. Nahum 1:3, “the clouds are the dust from his feet.” But I noticed something different.
While riding back I starting thinking about where God has brought me from, and how it was always the same Sun shining on me.
It was the same Sun that shined on me when my car broke down, and me, and my children had to take the city bus. But it was the same Sun that shined down on me when I was blessed to pay off my car, and my company gave me a new car. Now I have 2 cars in my drive way, when at one time I didn’t have one.
It was the same Sun that shined down on me when I stayed on the phone with people trying to be accepted by people that God never created me to be accepted by. But it’s the same Sun that shines down on me as I leave my phone in the car, because I really don’t want to be bothered.
It was the same Sun that shined down on me when I wanted a better job, when I had to work 3 jobs to provide for my family. But it was the same Sun that shined on me when I had a job that kept me flying from one state to another.
It was the same Sun that shined down on me and my children when we had to move into a hotel, because I lost our place, and this was the only opinions I had. But it’s the same Sun that shines on me now while I water my flowers on my porch, pick out lawn furniture, and bedding for all the bedrooms for this summer, and now I have rooms in my house I don’t even go in.
Although, there are cloudy days, rainy days and dark overcast, but the Sun is still there. In this case struggles, sadness, rejections, and other things life can throw at you can cause you from seeing just how bright the Sun is, but it’s still there.
Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
I believe the Sun is the best example of this scripture, because the Sun never changed just like God’s Word doesn’t change. But Thank God I did change, and just like the Word of God it never left me. Go outside and look up at the Sun; it’s like looking in the face of God. And, then think about all the things that same Sun has seen in your life. Think about the death of love ones, disappointments, finding love, losing love, new jobs, cars, homes, and so on. Just like the Word of God, it was there everyday, no matter what happen, or didn’t happen.
