Remember you prayed about it

Belinda Kendall

You pray about the problems you are having with your children, and then you get a call from your child’s school that they are in trouble again. Before you start to worry, remember you prayed about this.

You are concerned about losing your job, and when you get to work you are told that you have been fired. Before you get upset, remember you prayed about this.

You are having marriage problems and your husband/wife comes home and tells you that they don’t want to do this anymore and wants a divorce. Before you start begging them to change their mind remember you prayed about this.

You are having trouble with your car and concerned that one day it will just break all the way down. Before you start to worry about how you will find another car and don’t have the money to buy one, remember you prayed about this.

When you pray about a situation please know two things will start to happen. The devil steps up to cause you to lose faith, and have you praying about the same thing over and over again, and worrying, which is a sign of little faith. But God heard your prayer the first time, no matter what is happening in the natural, in the spirit your prayers has been answered.

It’s like asking someone for a book and as soon as you ask them they put it in your hands. But instead of receiving the book and thanking them for giving it to you, you continue to ask for something you already have. This is how you look to God when you pray for something and He gives you the answer, but because you are looking at things in the natural, you cant see that in the spirit in which you pray has already been given to you.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Could this be the very reason your prayers haven’t been answered- your reward? Because you have asked and don’t realize that in the spirit God has already answered your prayers? Since without faith you can not please God, your act of asking over and over again is a lack of faith. When a real act of faith is to ask once, and every time you think about it or things in the natural don’t line up, you should just thank God for the answer, no matter what it looks like in the natural.
